Zelenskyy Signals Intensified Diplomacy and New Peace Initiatives in Christmas Address

In a Christmas address, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy highlighted an active day of diplomacy focused on bringing a real and lasting peace closer.
He thanked Patriarch Bartholomew for his support and held an in-depth conversation with U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, where new ideas on formats, meetings, and timelines for peace were discussed.
Zelenskyy noted progress on key documents, with some nearly complete, and said further talks will continue through Rustem Umerov, with intensive work expected in the coming weeks.
He also spoke with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre and plans to engage other European leaders to stay aligned.
Zelenskyy emphasized continued pressure on Russia, praised Ukrainian defenders for strengthening diplomatic efforts, and reaffirmed the goal of real security, recovery, and peace.
