The United States has imposed sanctions on four current officials of the International Criminal Court (ICC) under Executive Order 14203. The sanctions target individuals involved in efforts to investigate or prosecute U.S. or Israeli nationals without their countries’ consent.
Specifically, Judges Kimberly Prost and Nicolas Guillou are sanctioned for authorizing investigations into U.S. personnel and issuing arrest warrants for Israeli leaders, respectively.
Deputy Prosecutors Nazhat Shameem Khan and Mame Mandiaye Niang are sanctioned for supporting ICC actions against Israel.
As a result, all property and assets of these individuals in the U.S. or controlled by U.S. persons are blocked. U.S. persons are prohibited from engaging in any transactions with them unless authorized by the Treasury Department.
