NATO's swift-response force, tasked under Steadfast Defender 2024, deployed to Poland via road, rail, sea, and air, marking NATO's largest exercise in decades.


The Very High Readiness Joint Task Force (VJTF), led by the UK, includes personnel from nine NATO Allies: Albania, Hungary, Latvia, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Spain, and Turkey.

Running from January to May 2024, it emphasizes rapid deployment and combat readiness.
