Trump welcomed Argentina’s libertarian President Javier Milei to the White House, calling him “MAGA all the way” and praising his economic vision. The U.S. has pledged $20 billion in support for Argentina.
Asked about the U.S. interest in this investment, Trump replied:
“Just helping a great philosophy take over a great country. Argentina is one of the most beautiful countries I’ve ever seen… It’s not gonna make a big difference for our country.”
He joked about not visiting Argentina because he’s “too busy,” adding:
“I’d like to be like Biden. I’d like to go to the beach. My legs are slightly heavier, my arms slightly larger. My body is a little bit larger than his.”
Trump threatened tariffs on BRICS members, dismissed questions about Argentina’s “dollarization,” and suggested U.S. aid would only continue if Milei wins reelection — a comment critics call blatant election interference.
He also joked about supplying Argentina with Tomahawk missiles and “criticized” Putin:
“I’m very disappointed… He’s going into four years of a war he should have won in one week. He’s lost a million and a half soldiers, probably.”
Trump refused to take questions from ABC News over its interview with JD Vance and claimed a donor offered to help pay U.S. troops during the shutdown.
Meanwhile, Eric Trump bragged about making the White House resemble Mar-a-Lago, while Trump attacked NYC mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani with inflammatory rhetoric, vowing to withhold federal funds if Mamdani is elected.
