FLOTUS Biden Advocates for Kamala Harris and Voting in Nevada
First Lady Jill Biden spoke at the National Automobile Museum in Reno, NV, addressing about 145 attendees.
She emphasized her dual role as First Lady and a dedicated teacher:
"Serving as First Lady has been the honor of my life, but I also worked hard to build a career that I love. So I do both."
Dr. Biden defended Vice President Kamala Harris against criticisms, and criticized Donald Trump’s policies, particularly on taxes and women's healthcare.
"Donald Trump's abortion bans have taken away the ability for women to make their own health care decisions. Our health, safety, and freedoms shouldn't hinge on the state you live in."
Dr. Biden urged Nevadans to vote, recalling the narrow margin of victory in 2020, and highlighted early voting options available starting October 19.
"Remember, in 2020, we won Nevada by just a little over 33,000 votes, and we're going to do it again. (…) Right now you can vote by mail or vote early in person, starting on October 19. So make a plan to vote early or return your ballot today, Nevada."
After her speech, she interacted with the crowd, leaving to enthusiastic waves.
