President Biden attended a political event in support of Senator Bob Casey this evening, speaking to a small gathering at a private home in the Philadelphia suburbs. The event, held under an outdoor tent, featured about 50 attendees.

Biden, who was accompanied by Casey, emphasized their shared values and backgrounds, humorously noting that both had “married up.” He praised Casey as “one of the most effective, bipartisan lawmakers in the country,” highlighting the senator's reputation for working across party lines.

In his remarks, Biden expressed confidence in the current economic trajectory, stating that “the vast majority of the mainstream economists are giving us credit for a fundamental shift” in the economy. He thanked Casey for his support in efforts to lower healthcare costs and take on Big Pharma.

The President also addressed current political tensions, referencing a new book by Bob Woodward that reveals former President Trump’s controversial decision to send COVID-19 tests to Russia during a domestic shortage. Biden's strong response included a pointed, “What the hell’s wrong with this guy?”

As he wrapped up his speech, Biden framed the upcoming election as critical, noting the competitiveness of Pennsylvania races. He asserted, “There’s no greater champion for Pennsylvania than Bob. There’s no one I trust more,” while contrasting Casey’s integrity with that of his opponent, who he claimed is aligned with Trump.

The event concluded with Biden reinforcing his support for Casey’s candidacy and his commitment to addressing significant issues facing the state and the nation.
